Georges Comtesse, a frequent presence and interlocutor in Deleuze’s seminars, was born in 1940, is the founder of Schize-analyse. He completed his doctorate, “Les machines de castration: Schizophrénie et psychanalyse‘‘ (1368 pages) at the University of Paris, Vincennes-St. Denis in 1974 under Gilles Deleuze. He has published in the cinema review Théâtre Publique and in the journals Philosophie and Chimères, and has also been interviewed on France Culture on Freud, Melville, Kurosawa, Derrida, Luce Irigaray, Barthes, and Deleuze.
